The Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) offers an Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency program with a focus on training physicians in line with the Philosophy of Osteopathy as taught by A.T. Still. The program aims to produce physicians who can achieve rapid and permanent results in the clinical setting. Graduates are expected to become leaders and teachers, impacting positive change in the lives of others.
The ECHN program provides three ACGME-certified tracks within the Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency. The curriculum includes a variety of rotations such as inpatient osteopathic medicine, rheumatology, neurosurgery/orthopedics, pain management, physical medicine, rehabilitation, occupational medicine, sports medicine, among others. Elective rotation choices encompass areas such as regenerative medicine, diagnostic radiology, family medicine, integrative medicine, ICU, psychiatry, and more. The program also includes weekly Osteopathic Didactics and an OMM continuity clinic during all rotations.
