Stony Brook Medicine Program

The Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine 3 program at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital offers a residency training experience focused on the biopsychosocial model of healthcare with a belief in patient-centered care. The program received ACGME Initial Accreditation in July 2018. The curriculum includes exposure to various disciplines in both inpatient and outpatient settings, extensive didactics, and hands-on training by NMM board-certified faculty. Residents will receive training in injections, functional medicine, integrative medicine, and acupuncture.

Application requirements include an updated CV, three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, medical school certificate, and USMLE or COMLEX transcripts with Step I, Step II CS and CK, and Step 3 results (must pass on the 2nd attempt for each test). A photograph is also highly recommended by the Ranking Committee. Each application is reviewed based on its individual merits.
