ECU Health Medical Center/East Carolina University Program

The ECU Health Medical Center/East Carolina University Program offers an ACGME-accredited residency program in anatomic and clinical pathology. The program is designed for a total of twelve residents and uses the AAMC Electronic Residency Application Service. Residents train primarily at the ECU Health Medical Center, a 900+ bed facility that serves as the tertiary medical care center in eastern North Carolina.

The curriculum combines required and elective clinical rotations with didactic lectures and conferences tailored to resident input. The program emphasizes a positive learning environment, flexibility in elective rotations, and ample opportunities for research.
