The MedStar Washington Hospital Center Dermatology Residency Program offers 2 PGY-2 Categorical Dermatology positions and 2 PGY-1 Internal Medicine-Dermatology positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. Applicants must complete a preliminary year in an ACGME-accredited training program by June 30, 2023, to be eligible for the Categorical Dermatology program.
The program requires completion of Step 2 for the 2023-2024 application cycle. They also accept International Medical Graduates but only the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams are considered for applicants from osteopathic medical programs.
Applicants applying to the program must go through ERAS, and the application deadline is September 26, 2023. The program participates in The Match, and the deadline for submitting the Match List to the NRMP is typically late February. Interviews for the upcoming application cycle will be conducted virtually.
For visa sponsorship, the program accepts J1 visas and requires ECFMG certification. However, they do not sponsor H1 visas. Applicants must include a copy of the ECFMG certificate as part of the ERAS application process.
