The Ohio State University Hospital Program offers two tracks for Interventional Radiology training:
- Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR) Integrated Residency Program:
- Duration: 5 years (3 years diagnostic radiology, 2 years interventional radiology)
- Accepts two residents per year
- Non-traditional applicants accepted
- Applicants preferably in their fourth year of medical school
- Up to two positions in an ACGME-approved Early Specialization in Radiology (ESIR) curriculum

Supports a robust interventional oncology practice

Interventional Radiology - Independent Residency Program:
- Duration: 1-2 years, depending on completion of ESIR curriculum
- Up to two Independent Residency positions per year
- Residents must have completed an accredited Diagnostic Radiology program with ESIR designation
- Residents skip the first year of training if ESIR completed
- Focus on wire/catheter skills in an apprenticeship model
Rotation & Curriculum: - Focus on developing radiological, procedural, and clinical skills - Variety of rotations, including interventional oncology, peripheral arterial disease, hepatobiliary interventions, and venous disease - Unique community-based vascular surgery rotation
Application Requirements: - Application through ERAS - Required documents: Dean's letter, medical school transcript, test scores, personal statement, letters of recommendation - Virtual interviews conducted via Zoom - Integrated Residency deadline: October 4, 2023 - Independent Residency deadline: December 13, 2023
