Rutgers Health/Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Program

The Pediatric Residency program at Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center provides a well-balanced educational experience, focusing on general pediatrics and clinical experiences in various pediatric subspecialties. Residents participate in programs such as the ACGME Quality Improvement in Health Care Disparities Pathway Leaders Collaborative and the New Jersey Pediatric Residency Advocacy Collaborative.

Residents at this program have diverse personal and professional interests, with opportunities for individualized learning plans and exposure to various pediatric specialties. The curriculum includes a block schedule, continuity clinic, and educational programs like Academic Half-Day, Pediatric Grand Rounds, and Journal Clubs.

Recent graduates have pursued fellowship training and professional opportunities in various specialties and practice settings. The program accepts applications through ERAS and exclusively utilizes the NRMP matching program. Interviews are conducted virtually, especially due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
