The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital is a three-year Advanced level program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). It is affiliated with the University of Chicago–Pritzker School of Medicine and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Residents are integrated into the interdisciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient settings, gradually assuming the role of team leader. PGY-II year is spent exclusively at Schwab, while PGY-III and IV years are primarily at associated outside facilities.
