International Medical Graduates are also welcome, provided they have a valid ECFMG certificate by the start of training. Notably, applicants are required to have successfully completed Steps 1 and 2 of the USMLE or relevant COMLEX examinations.

The program evaluates the number of attempts at passing these examinations, factoring in the applicant's overall academic performance alongside supportive letters of recommendation, particularly for those without US allopathic medical education. Importantly, SGMC Health does not sponsor or accept visa applications.
