The Sovah Health-Danville Program is currently transitioning from an 8-8-8 program to a 10-10-10 program. They will be matching their third class of ten interns with Match 2024. The Internal Medicine Residency Program offers outstanding inpatient and outpatient medicine learning experiences along with sub-specialty rotations to enhance the educational process.
The Program Director is Dr. Kimberly Bird, MD, FCCP, FAASM. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Bird completed her residency in Internal Medicine at UNC at Chapel Hill and also completed fellowships in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the same institution.
The Sovah Health-Danville Program provides a diverse curriculum with a focus on inpatient and outpatient experiences, sub-specialty rotations, and educational support. Residents have the opportunity to work with experienced faculty members and engage in a dynamic educational environment.
