The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Pathology Residency Program is based on the main campus, in close proximity to the University Medical Center of El Paso Level 1 trauma center, El Paso Children's Hospital, Medical Examiner's Office, and other TTUHSC El Paso schools. The program focuses on training residents in both anatomic and clinical pathology, with opportunities for research and publication. Faculty members have diverse expertise across various pathology specialties.

The program aims to prepare residents for success in clinical and academic pathology settings, as well as for subsequent fellowship training. Located near the borders of Juárez, Mexico, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, the program provides exposure to a broad clinical experience and a rich cultural environment.
