Competitiveness and Application Requirements

This residency program is competitive, with many applicants each year—approximately 1000 complete applications are received annually for 12 positions. Eligible candidates must be graduated from accredited medical schools. The program accepts graduates from LCME-accredited schools, AOA-accredited schools, and ECFMG-certified international medical schools, provided they meet specific criteria. Additionally, candidates should provide at least one Standardized Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) from an EM rotation, although multiple SLOEs are encouraged.
