Third Year (PGY3): Residents deepen their knowledge with rotations in Community Health, Geriatrics, and additional electives, allowing up to 12 weeks of tailored training based on specific areas of interest.
Weekly Grand Rounds are conducted every Wednesday, featuring presentations from faculty and third-year residents on contemporary clinical topics, providing a platform for scholarly activity 3.
Benefits and Salaries
The residency program provides a competitive salary structure and an array of benefits designed to support residents throughout their demanding training. For 2024-2025, the salary schedule is as follows:
- First-year resident (PGY I) - $63,302
- Second-year resident (PGY II) - $65,683
- Third-year resident (PGY III) - $67,902
Additional benefits include 20 days of paid vacation, educational allowances, meal provisions while on duty, and access to medical and dental insurance at employee rates. Opportunities for moonlighting are available for residents in their second and third years, contingent upon approval from the Program Director 2.
