Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Program

The Integrated Residency in Vascular Surgery at Hofstra/Northwell Health is designed to equip trainees with the necessary skills to thrive in a constantly evolving healthcare landscape. Residents engage in various clinical exposures and rotations, ensuring comprehensive training in both open and endovascular techniques. The structure includes core competency days, a dedicated vascular lab rotation, and participation in a bioskills lab curriculum, all aimed at reinforcing surgical education.1

Application Process and Requirements

Interested applicants must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) beginning in early September. Applications are meticulously reviewed, and candidates are expected to have a USMLE pass score of 215 or higher for Step 2 CK and pass scores for Step 2 CS on their first attempts.3 Additionally, applicants must have graduated from medical school within the past three years and provide various documents including a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and transcripts.3

Invitations to interview are extended to approximately 30 applicants each year, who then participate in an in-person interview process designed to showcase the program's offerings and culture.3
