This ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network is a four-year training program accepting eight to ten residents annually. Residents receive individual clinical supervision to enhance their education and clinical skills.
The program offers a comprehensive curriculum with rotations at various sites including Einstein Medical Center, Belmont Behavioral Hospital, Philadelphia Children's Crisis Response Center, and the Crisis Response Center. Residents gain experience in areas such as consultation & liaison, substance use disorders, affective disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, geriatric psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and child/adolescent psychiatry.
A unique feature of the program is the psychoanalytic education component, which includes seminars developed by renowned psychiatrist Dr. Harold Kolansky. Residents have the opportunity to present their cases for psychoanalytic interpretation and receive feedback from peers and visiting analysts.
Graduates from Albert Einstein Healthcare Network have pursued competitive fellowships in various psychiatry subspecialties, engaged in clinical research at top academic centers, and often become faculty within the network.
