Temple University Hospital Program

The Temple Psychiatry Residency Program at Lewis Katz School of Medicine offers a comprehensive education in psychiatry through a balanced curriculum of didactics, mentoring, and supervised clinical experiences. The program emphasizes evidence-based medicine, diagnosis, neuropsychiatry, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Residents have opportunities for supplementary courses with the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia and further specialization based on their interests.

Application requirements include passing Step 1 & Step 2 CK and CS exams, submitting three letters of recommendation (with at least two from Psychiatrists), and being eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. International medical graduates are welcome to apply, and applications are accepted through ERAS.
