The Aultman Hospital/NEOMED Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program is a four-year program located at Aultman Hospital, offering five categorical positions per year. The program has been accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) since 1946.

The program aims to enhance women's healthcare by training physicians in a safe clinical environment that focuses on excellent clinical care and education. With 35 attending physicians, the program provides a comprehensive experience including high-risk deliveries. In 2021, the program saw 2,875 deliveries and 6,837 OB-GYN outpatient visits.

The Aultman Birth Center features modern facilities and is the only Level III obstetrics site in its service area. Residents have the opportunity to witness both normal and complicated deliveries. The program also provides exposure to the Akron Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The program curriculum emphasizes educational support, research opportunities, and clinical experience. Residents actively engage in teaching at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and participate in didactic programs, including daily teaching rounds and journal clubs.

For medical students interested in the program, there is an M4/Subinternship elective designed for fourth-year medical students. The elective involves a four-week period with specific rotations in obstetrics, gynecology, clinic, and night float. Applicants must meet specific USMLE or COMLEX score requirements. The program does not offer observerships, shadowing, or attendance at grand rounds.
