Baylor College of Medicine Program

The Radiology Residency program at Baylor College of Medicine is based in the Texas Medical Center and offers 12 advanced PGY-2 positions each year. Residents rotate through various renowned public and private teaching hospitals, including Ben Taub Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. The program is dedicated to providing a hands-on and balanced educational experience to train outstanding radiologists.

During the first year, residents spend significant time at the Harris Health System, gaining exposure to various subspecialties such as body imaging, neuroradiology, and chest imaging. In the second year, residents focus on vascular and interventional radiology, body imaging, and breast imaging. The third year involves a well-balanced mix of rotations to develop day-to-day radiology skills, with a focus on preparing for the ABR Core Exam.

Fourth-year residents have the flexibility to customize their curriculum based on their future subspecialty interests. The program also offers an Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) pathway, with four spots per class, providing extensive interventional radiology training at multiple institutions and a SICU rotation at Ben Taub Hospital.
