The Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program at Broward Health is a comprehensive one-year training program accredited by ACGME. Clinical Rotations
Clinical rotations are integral to the fellowship experience, allowing fellows to work in various Surgical Critical Care settings. They will rotate through the Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Units (SICUs) at both trauma centers. The program also offers elective rotations which may include the Medical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Trauma Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, and Emergency General Surgery.
Research and Administrative Experience
In addition to clinical training, the program places a strong emphasis on research opportunities throughout the year. Fellows are encouraged to participate in administrative experiences that will complement their clinical education and prepare them for future leadership roles in medical practice.
