The General Surgery Residency Program at Corewell Health East (Dearborn and Trenton) is a five-year program leading to board certification eligibility. This program, fully accredited by the AOA and with initial ACGME accreditation since 2018, offers a comprehensive surgical education following the Score curriculum. Residents have the opportunity to engage in patient care, attend weekly didactic sessions, participate in monthly statewide conferences through Michigan State University, and benefit from cadaver lab sessions during their second year.
