The Corewell Health East Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program at Beaumont Health Spectrum Health aims to prepare residents in advanced clinical practice, innovative analytical thinking, and cutting-edge professional development in neurologic physical therapy. The 12-month program provides a comprehensive education within a 1100-bed tertiary, teaching, and research hospital. Residents engage in 30 hours of clinical care weekly across various clinical environments dealing with a range of diagnoses. The didactic component includes 26 weeks of curriculum on MedBridge and additional modules provided by the Neuro Consortium. Residents participate in journal clubs, weekly lectures, and specialty clinics. The program culminates in a final test and a Capstone Project. Computer and internet access are required for the program. Applicants need to be graduates of an accredited physical therapy program, eligible for Michigan licensure, and submit a CV, two letters of recommendation, a cover letter, and current Michigan PT license for candidacy.
