Residents have the opportunity to rotate at three main hospitals: Johnson City Medical Center, Holston Valley Medical Center, and Bristol Regional Medical Center, as well as at various outpatient surgery centers and orthopedic practices in the Tri-Cities area.

The program's faculty members are diverse, with many being fellowship trained in specialties such as hand and upper extremity, sports medicine, trauma, spine, pediatric orthopedics, hip and knee replacement, and foot & ankle.

The program's mission is to provide a high-quality training experience that prepares resident physicians for comprehensive general or sub-specialty orthopedics. This goal is achieved through a structured clinical and didactic educational curriculum that follows nationally established best practices. The program aims to impart orthopaedic knowledge and skills to trainees to ensure the highest level of care for future patients.
