Houston Healthcare System Program

The Family Medicine Residency Program at Houston Healthcare System is coordinated through the Pavilion Family Medicine Center, benefiting the community by providing access to care for patients, clinical training for Residents, and coordinated care with the local teaching facility.

Application Requirements: - Graduation from medical school within the past 2 years is required. - Minimum of two months of clinical rotations in the United States within the last 2 years. - Hold a COMLEX/USMLE transcript, medical school transcript, personal statement, headshot, MSPE, and ECFMG Certificate if applicable. - Three letters of recommendation are required. - Must have proof of required immunizations, negative PPD screening, criminal background check, and drug screening.

The program offers six PGY-1 positions and interviews are scheduled from September through the middle of January. The deadline for applications is November 15th. The program emphasizes commitment to family medicine and interest in practicing in Georgia rather than just board scores.
