The Mass General Brigham Interventional Radiology Integrated Residency Program offers three annual positions in an ACGME accredited program. The program aims to provide comprehensive training in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology to enhance patient care quality and safety.

Clinical training opportunities at Massachusetts General Hospital include exposure to various disease states, with over 890,000 diagnostic examinations and 19,000 interventional procedures annually. The curriculum includes PGY 1 clinical internships, followed by diagnostic radiology rotations in PGY 2-4 and specialized interventional radiology training in PGY 5 and 6.

For applicants interested in an alternative training pathway, there is an Independent Pathway for ESIR-certified individuals completing a diagnostic radiology residency. The program director is Ronald Arellano, MD.

Mass General has facilities with nine fluoroscopy procedure suites, three procedure CT rooms, and additional hybrid operating rooms. The curriculum offers a strong clinical background and broad exposure to interventional radiology procedures.

The website provides information on resident resources, well-being, and the application process. Additionally, the program conducted a webinar for medical students to learn more about the residency program and the impact of COVID-19 on the application season.
