Program Overview

The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at St. Vincent Medical Center is a 36-month training program focused on providing comprehensive education and clinical experience in general cardiology. • PGY 4: $71,121
• PGY 5: $74,104

In addition to the salary, fellows receive comprehensive insurance benefits that include health, dental, and vision coverage. Other significant benefits include a $2,500 educational sign-on bonus, annual meal allowance of $2,000, moving allowance, free parking, and access to on-campus fitness facilities.

Application Requirements

To apply for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, candidates must submit their applications via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and should meet the following requirements:

• A completed ERAS application.
• Three letters of recommendation.
• Personal statement and curriculum vitae.
• Medical school transcript.
• Minimum USMLE step score of 220 or minimum COMLEX step score of 550 is preferred; applicants with a test failure are not eligible for consideration.
• Candidates must have completed a three-year accredited internal medicine residency.

The program is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or international medical graduates who can obtain an H1-B visa. Notably, the program prefers H1-B visa sponsorships, while J1 visas are offered on a very limited basis.
