The Miami Valley Hospital Program offers an extensive Dietetic Internship that is designed to prepare interns to become competent entry-level Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. Interns will engage in rotations in clinical, foodservice management, community nutrition, and other specialized areas. The program integrates with the University of Dayton Master's in Dietetics and Nutrition Program for a comprehensive learning experience.
The program benefits include training in an innovative 1100 bed Level I Trauma Center, supervised practice in various settings, and elective experiences to explore different areas of dietetics. Applicants are required to have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, minimum Science GPA of 2.5, and evidence of 200 hours of nutrition-related work experience. Admission decisions are based on the review of application packets. Interviews are not conducted during the selection process.
