Physicians utilize whole brain perfusion CT imaging to make informed decisions about treatment protocols, relying on cutting-edge technology like the iSchemaView RAPID software, which is validated in significant stroke trials.

The program also emphasizes advanced brain tumor mapping. This aspect of training involves distinguishing between functional brain tissue and anatomical images, critical for managing brain tumors efficiently.

Functional Imaging Techniques

Neuroradiologists will use functional MRI paradigms to assess various functions, including language and sensory motor capabilities. This training allows participants to develop an understanding of brain activation via tasks such as verb generation and finger tapping. Real-time data analysis during the imaging process equips fellows with the skills to evaluate the effectiveness of different activation paradigms.
