The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center offers a Pathology-anatomic and clinical residency program with the option of combined AP/CP training or anatomic pathology-only and clinical pathology-only tracks. The curriculum includes didactics in both AP and CP, exposure to various subspecialty areas, and hands-on training from experienced faculty. Upon completion, residents are prepared for practice or fellowship opportunities.
For the application process, the program requires the ERAS Common Application Form, a Personal Statement, Official Medical School Transcripts, Medical School MSPE, and Three Letters of Reference. Applicants must be eligible for Oklahoma licensure and provide USMLE scores for Step 1, Step 2, and CS.
International Medical Graduates need to submit an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Status Report and should be eligible for a J-1 VISA. The program may support an initial H-1B clinical visa under specific circumstances. USMLE Step 3 is required for H-1B sponsorship consideration.
To be eligible for ranking, applicants must have passed Step 1, Step 2, and CS. Those who have failed any part of the USMLE more than three times cannot obtain an Oklahoma medical license.
