The program accepts applications from graduates of U.S. and Canadian medical schools as well as international medical graduates who possess a valid ECFMG certificate and either a full New York State license or complete a recognized Fifth Pathway program. IMG candidates must have a J-1 visa for participation and must not have exceeded 12 weeks of clinical clerkship outside their primary medical school's country unless that school is State Department approved. Academic credentials include a preferable score of 220 or better on USMLE Steps I and II on the first attempt, alongside essential application materials submitted via ERAS, including a CV, dean's letter, and letters of recommendation from neurologists2.
