Prospective fellows must complete an application through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Additionally, international medical graduates must provide their ECFMG status report and a foreign medical license, if applicable. The program accepts J-1 visa holders, ensuring that international applicants have the necessary support for visa sponsorship.

The first year consists of essential training in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, and Nephrology, alongside procedural training and anesthesiology experience.
