Baton Rouge General Program

The Baton Rouge General Internal Medicine Residency Program is a three-year program established in 2010, providing broad-based clinical training in hospital medicine and primary care. The program aims to train well-rounded internists capable of caring for a diverse patient population in various settings. They participate in the National Residency Matching Program and strictly accept applicants through ERAS by the deadline of December 31 each year.

Admission Requirements:

• U.S. Graduates must submit the ERAS Common Application Form, Curriculum Vitae, Dean's Letter, a minimum of 3 letters of recommendation, Personal Statement, Photograph, Official Medical School Transcript, and Official USMLE Step I and 2 transcripts.
• International Medical Graduates must be ECFMG Certified or eligible for an ECFMG Certificate, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and be eligible for a valid visa. The program sponsors J-1 visas via ECFMG.
