STEP 225 Visa J1

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency program at Corewell Health East (Farmington Hills), formerly known as Beaumont Hospital, is a four-year program that aims to train residents in providing comprehensive care to women with conditions within the scope of obstetrics and gynecology. The program emphasizes progressive experience and increasing responsibility for residents. Direct experience in primary surgical and obstetrical care is mandatory as the program does not focus on providing a hospital service.

Training within the program includes obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, reproductive and gynecologic endocrinology, family planning and human sexuality, oncology and radiation therapy, perinatology, fetal maternal high-risk obstetrics, psychosomatics, and other diagnostic and treatment modalities. Additionally, the program places importance on applying osteopathic concepts in the treatment of obstetric and gynecologic patients.

The educational experience is overseen by certified and board-eligible faculty in Obstetrics and Gynecology. To ensure program quality, a Residency Training Committee continuously evaluates and enhances the educational curriculum.

The program also provides access to educational opportunities in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Residents can participate in rotations such as Family Planning during OB months in the second year and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the third year.

The program has announced the achievement of ACGME Continued Accreditation effective February 2, 2023.

For further details regarding the program and the application process, individuals can reach out to Corewell Health.
