The program aims to graduate competent internal medicine primary care physicians, hospitalists, or subspecialty applicants. The curriculum is primary care-oriented with flexibility to meet individual resident needs. The program fulfills all requirements from the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the Internal Medicine Resident Review Committee (RRC), and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

For applicants to be considered for an interview, requirements include completing the ERAS application, submitting three letters of reference from clinical rotations, graduating from medical school within the past three years, and having clinical experience within the same period. USMLE Step 1 must be passed before the interview, and Step 2 CK and CS should ideally be completed before the NRMP Rank Order List.
