The Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences Psychiatry Residency Program is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive training environment. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum with a focus on fostering clinical excellence, leadership, and scholarship.

Residents in this program have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical practice settings and lead clinical and research teams nationwide. The training mission includes closely-supervised clinical experiences in multiple settings along with a strong didactic program. Residents also have access to mentorship and elective experiences to further their professional development.

The program has several clinical training sites, including the OSU Medical Center, Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health, Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care, Oklahoma Forensic Center, and St. Francis Health System - Laureate.

Application requirements include being a graduate of a COCA accredited College of Osteopathic Medicine or a US LCME college of medicine with passing scores on relevant exams. Additionally, applicants need to submit official transcripts, national board scores, three letters of recommendation, and a dean's letter of recommendation.

Interviews are conducted based on academic performance, exam scores, and overall preparedness. Preference is given to applicants committed to serving underserved populations and those without gaps in their medical training history.
