The San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Psychiatry Residency Training Program accepts applications through ERAS with a deadline of October 1, 2023. Early submission is encouraged as interview slots fill up quickly. The standard ERAS application is required, and a supplemental application is optional.

To complete your application, you need your ERAS application and personal statement, three letters of recommendation (one preferably from a psychiatrist), medical school transcript, official USMLE transcript (passing Step 1 and Step 2 required), MSPE, and a letter from your current or previous residency program if applicable.

For International Medical Graduates, a valid ECFMG certificate is necessary for application review. The program does not sponsor any visas and highly values U.S. clinical experience, along with a recommendation from the supervisor of that experience.
