Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center offers a four-year categorical residency program in adult Neurology, with a commitment to train highly skilled and professional clinical neurologists. The residency program is integrated with CMC-Main Hospital, Atrium Health's leading tertiary care facility, which undertakes over 100,000 neurologically related patient encounters annually. The center features a Level I Trauma Center, a Joint Commission Accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level 4 NAEC Epilepsy Center. This environment allows residents to manage a significant volume of cases including acute strokes, electrodiagnostic studies, and EEG evaluations, fostering substantial clinical exposure.

Curriculum Details

The program's curriculum is designed to ensure residents are well-prepared for independent practice either as general neurologists or neuro-hospitalists. Residents receive a competitive salary with a structure as follows: PGY-1: $65,304, PGY-2: $68,224, PGY-3: $71,035, and PGY-4: $74,387.
