The Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Program is dedicated to training the next generation of physician leaders in family medicine. Located in the greater Charlotte community, it offers a comprehensive three-year training experience that includes rotations across Novant Health's community clinics and acute care facilities, ensuring a well-rounded exposure to patient care. Each year, six applicants are accepted into the program, where all rotations take place in the north Charlotte area. Applications are invited through the ERAS system each fall. To be considered for the program, applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school within two years of application and must have passed USMLE/COMLEX Step II to enter residency training, with Step I passed at the time of application. Step II must be completed and passed prior to the rank list deadline. Early applications are encouraged, and only applications received before December 31 of the recruiting year will be reviewed. Importantly, Novant Health currently does not sponsor any visas, and citizenship documentation must be provided for verification.
The residency curriculum includes rotations in various specialties, ensuring a solid foundation in family medicine.
