Medical College of Georgia Program

The Neurology Residency Program at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is dedicated to shaping the careers of passionate young neurologists. They offer a four-year categorical program with six adult neurology residents recruited annually and one pediatric neurology resident every other year.

Residents have the opportunity to rotate at three sites, including the Augusta University Medical Center & Clinics, Charlie Norwood VA Hospital, and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. The program emphasizes academic and clinical excellence in patient care with numerous opportunities for educational, clinical, and translational research.

The Department of Neurology at Medical College of Georgia offers a wide range of neurological subspecialties, such as vascular neurology, clinical neurophysiology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and neuro-interventional neurology. They also provide a Sleep Medicine fellowship offered through internal medicine.

The program boasts a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere, with faculty members described as being invested in the residents' success.
