The program utilizes two primary referral hospitals, Covenant HealthCare and Ascension St. Mary’s, supplemented by over 16 affiliated rotation sites. Visa Support

For international medical graduates, the program has specific requirements regarding visa sponsorship. While the program does not sponsor H1-B visas, it does support J-1 visa applications for eligible international applicants. All international graduates must have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate for eligibility.

Application Requirements

The program has specific application prerequisites. Candidates must be medical school graduates after July 1, 2022. Additionally, all incoming residents are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Applicants should be mindful of the need to provide significant documentation, including USMLE or COMLEX transcripts, a dean's letter, medical school transcripts, and letters of recommendation during the application process. The program does not allow for more than two failures on any part of the USMLE or COMLEX and does not prescreen applications prior to submission. Furthermore, applicants must adhere to a strict policy regarding felony and certain misdemeanor convictions, which may jeopardize eligibility for residency positions.
