Crozer-Chester Medical Center Program

The Crozer-Chester Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program offers comprehensive educational opportunities in a supportive and community-oriented environment at a 300-bed tertiary-care teaching hospital in Upland, PA. The program provides residents with extensive exposure to all facets of internal medicine and its subspecialties, ensuring a well-rounded experience. Faculty at the program have expertise across the spectrum of internal medicine, allowing for a high-quality training experience emphasizing both primary care and subspecialty education. The program is open to graduates from allopathic and osteopathic medical schools and supports J-1 visa sponsorship.

Application requirements for the program include:

• Graduates of LCME-accredited institutions.
• Non-LCME graduates must have USMLE scores higher than 205 on Steps 1 and 2 CK on the first attempt, have passed Step 2 CS on the first attempt, and have graduated in 2019 or later with valid ECFMG certification.
• Medical school graduates currently enrolled in a Transitional or Preliminary residency program within the United States.
• Osteopathic applicants must pass COMLEX Step 1 on the first attempt and be a 2023-2024 graduate of an AOA-accredited medical school.

The program attracts eight residents per training year and is structured to provide a balanced clinical and didactic experience, emphasizing evidence-based medicine, ethics, professionalism, communication skills, and systems-based practice. Residents participate in scholarly activities, including a mandatory team-based program allowing for engagement in six projects throughout their residency, enhancing their research and academic profiles.
