Eisenhower Medical Center Program

The Eisenhower Health Internal Medicine Residency Program offers a comprehensive educational experience aimed at training residents to become exceptional internists capable of managing a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Curriculum and Training Structure

Every resident engages in a variety of rotations that cover critical areas such as General Internal Medicine (inpatient wards), Emergency Medicine, ICU, and specialties within Internal Medicine including Neurology, Geriatrics, Palliative Care, and more. The program emphasizes a well-rounded experience, with opportunities for elective rotations in fields like Allergy and Immunology, Psychiatry, and Sports Medicine among others. Additionally, residents participate in a longitudinal Research & Quality Improvement (QI) curriculum, enhancing their research skills and foundational scholarly activity.

Application Requirements

Eisenhower Health’s Internal Medicine Residency Program participates in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and accepts applications exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Basic requirements include valid USMLE Step 1 scores, an ECFMG certificate prior to residency commencement, and graduation from medical school within the past five years. The program does not accept COMLEX scores and only evaluates USMLE metrics.

For international medical graduates (IMGs), visa sponsorship is limited and only available at the fellowship level, leaving residents to seek alternative routes for residency training visas.
