The HealthPartners Institute Dermatology Residency program is a newly established program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program aims to provide residents with a comprehensive training experience in dermatology under the guidance of a faculty of over 50 experienced dermatologists.

Residents in this program benefit from rotating through primary teaching sites in St. Louis Park, Maple Grove, Burnsville, and the St. Paul Specialty Center every 4 months. They also have a designated Continuity Clinic day on Fridays and participate in month-long specialty rotations in dermatopathology, cutaneous surgery, and contact dermatitis and patch testing.

The program places emphasis on building a strong foundation for future dermatologists to excel in clinical practice and academic pursuits. HealthPartners Institute Dermatology Residency program values qualities such as responsibility, flexibility, teamwork, adaptability, curiosity, and a love for learning in their applicants. They do not require minimum board scores and applicants are evaluated holistically by the Program Leadership Team and Faculty.
