This Pediatric Neurology Residency Program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center offers a comprehensive training experience for residents seeking to specialize in Child Neurology. Approved by the ACGME in 2020, this program aims to provide a solid foundation in Child Neurology, offering the option to pursue further training in subspecialties such as epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, or neurocritical care.
The program consists of three phases: the first phase involves two or more years of General Pediatric Residency, followed by a year of Adult Neurology training at the JFK Neuroscience Institute. The final phase focuses on Child neurology itself, with clinical rotations at both the K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital and the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital.
