The Kansas City University GME Consortium (KCU-GME Consortium) at the St. Anthony Program is an ACGME-accredited Sponsoring Institution offering 13 accredited programs across five states. The consortium's mission is to provide quality postgraduate training programs while focusing on residents' ethical, professional, and personal development. The program aims to produce competent practitioners, improve GME-sponsored programs' quality, and develop leaders in medicine. Additionally, the program seeks to expand graduate medical education in underdeveloped communities and recruit and retain minorities underrepresented in medicine.

Residents/fellows within the program are encouraged to participate in the quarterly Resident/Fellow Forum, where they can communicate and exchange information regarding their educational and work environments. The forum serves as an outlet for residents/fellows to raise and resolve concerns. A confidential reporting form is available for residents/fellows to report any concerns about their training programs anonymously.

The program places an emphasis on Scholarly Activity, requiring residents/fellows to engage in activities such as publishing articles, participating in conferences, and completing research projects. Monthly meetings are held to educate residents/fellows on research and patient safety/quality improvement.

Faculty development at the KCU-GME Consortium is designed to support the growth of medical educators, promoting vibrant learning environments and contributing to the consortium's mission. Faculty members are required to participate in annual faculty development activities, including American Medical Association modules.

The program prioritizes resident wellness and assesses burnout through the AMA Mini-Z Burnout Survey. Additional initiatives such as the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the Well-Being Index aim to support the emotional wellness and mental health of residents/fellows.

Educational resources, such as focus areas on Patient Safety, Health Care Quality, Teaming, Supervision, Well-Being, and Professionalism, are provided to ensure quality training environments.

The program offers wellness resources, forms for various requests, GME policies, information on CLER, and access to KCU GME Grand Rounds. Residents and faculty are encouraged to participate in these resources and activities to enhance their training experience and well-being.
