The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Health Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program offers a five-year educational experience focusing on quality orthopaedic surgical instruction, general orthopaedics, and potential fellowship training or general orthopaedic practice. The program aims to train competent orthopaedic surgeons who meet ACGME, AOAO, and ABOS requirements.

The program has affiliations with various healthcare institutions, including Allegheny Health Network, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and Meadville Medical Center. Residents receive training in general orthopaedics and various subspecialties like Orthopaedic Trauma, Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic Spine, Hand and Upper Extremity, Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement with Robotic Assisted Surgery, Pediatric Orthopaedics, and Foot and Ankle.

Residents are expected to participate in patient care across different settings, attend educational conferences, complete research projects, and engage in didactics. The salary ranges from $50,365.76 for PGY1 to $54,652.21 for PGY5.
