McKay-Dee Hospital Center Program

McKay-Dee Family Medicine Residency is a three-year program located at the Porter Family Medicine Clinic in Ogden, Utah. This program emphasizes community service and aims to train residents in a broad range of outpatient procedures, surgical obstetrics, and primary care leadership.

Application Requirements

Participation in the National Residency Matching Program is mandatory for applicants seeking first-year positions. Applications exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) are accepted. Key application requirements include:

• Passing USMLE Step 1 on the first attempt.
• Successfully passing Step 2 (including Clinical Skills) before the NRMP rank deadline.
• Three letters of recommendation, with at least one from a family medicine physician.
• Graduation no more than two years prior from a medical school accredited by LCME/AOA.
• If applicable, international graduates must possess valid ECFMG and Clinical Skills Assessment Certification.
• Eligibility to obtain a Utah medical license by the start of the second training year.
• Documented completion of a sub-internship equivalent to at least 8 weeks in an ACGME accredited institution in the U.S., including at least 4 weeks in family medicine and 4 weeks in either general internal medicine or general pediatrics.

It should be noted that the program does not sponsor visas.
