The Family Medicine Residency Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center of the Permian Basin aims to provide comprehensive training for residents in a supportive and engaging environment. The program offers 69 ACGME approved residency positions with a faculty team consisting of 15 physicians, a clinical psychologist, and a podiatrist, along with support from over 30 community physicians in various specialties.
Notably, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at the Permian Basin offers a unique Rural Training Track, allowing residents to train in rural communities in Texas and New Mexico. During the interview process, candidates will have the opportunity to tour the Family Medicine Clinic, Medical Center Hospital, and Midland Memorial Hospital. The program aims to interview up to 180 candidates for 23 positions and conducts interviews for both core programs in Midland and Odessa, followed by rural interviews at specific sites.
