The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock Ophthalmology Residency Program provides exceptional training for students dedicated to delivering compassionate patient care, visionary ideas, and integrity. The three-year residency program offers increasing responsibility, access to accomplished subspecialty faculty, and immersive experiences in internal medicine clinics. Residents have the opportunity to gain proficiency in a broad spectrum of procedures and are well-prepared for fellowship training and a career in internal medicine.
Application Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited medical school within the past 5 years - Any gaps in training or medical school should be explained - Ability to assume all responsibilities of training by July 1 - Only accepts J-1 Visa - Must have graduated in the last 7 years - No US clinical experience required but preferred - Must have ECFMG certificate at the time of the interview
The program encourages applicants to submit their applications by the end of September. Required documents include the ERAS Common Application Form, Curriculum Vitae, Dean's Letter (MSPE), a minimum of three Letters of Recommendation, Personal Statement, Photograph, Medical School Transcripts, and USMLE and/or COMLEX Transcripts.
