Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock Program

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock Pediatrics Residency Program offers exceptional training over a three-year period, emphasizing responsibility, access to renowned faculty, and hands-on experience in internal medicine clinics. The program aims to prepare residents for fellowships and careers in internal medicine.

The program boasts a Fellowship Match Rate of 100% in 2020 and 2021, a 3-year American Board of Internal Medicine Pass Rate of 92%, and an average of 4.6 publications by residents upon graduation. The residents come from diverse medical backgrounds, including countries like Libya, Colombia, Thailand, Egypt, and more.

For application, interested individuals must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Application requirements include the ERAS Common Application Form, CV, Dean's Letter, a minimum of three letters of recommendation, personal statement, photograph, medical school transcripts, and USMLE and/or COMLEX transcripts. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school within the past 5 years and be prepared to assume training responsibilities by July 1.

International applicants are only accepted on a J-1 Visa and must have graduated within the last 7 years. While US clinical experience is preferred, it is not required. Additionally, international applicants must have an ECFMG certificate at the interview stage. The program does not accept H-1 Visas.
