The University of South Florida (USF) Health - Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program is a three-year unopposed program sponsored by the USF Health Department of Family Medicine, located in Clearwater within the BayCare Health System. The program aims to train exemplary family physicians with a focus on humanizing medicine and providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. They offer additional programs like Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and a Pharmacy Residency to complement the family medicine curriculum. Applicants must have passing scores on USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS, with Step 2 CK score required before the NRMP rank list deadline. Medical school graduation within the last two years or being active in an accredited residency or medical practice in the U.S. within the last five years is necessary for eligibility.

For osteopathic graduates, COMLEX scores are accepted in place of USMLE scores, following AOA requirements. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) need proof of valid ECFMG certification, permanent U.S. resident status, clinical experience in the U.S., and English language proficiency. The program does not sponsor visas or offer observerships.
