The Forensic Pathology Fellowship at Florida State University College of Medicine is jointly sponsored by the District One Medical Examiner’s Office (D1MEO). The D1MEO is staffed by experienced professionals, including full-time and visiting forensic pathologists, certified medicolegal death investigators, and forensic autopsy technicians, ensuring thorough mentorship and skill development 4.

Application Requirements

The program only accepts applications through ERAS. Required documentation includes:

• Standard CAP fellowship application

• ECFMG Certificate for International Medical Graduates

Eligibility also includes a minimum of six months of U.S. clinical experience and the ability to obtain a medical license from the Florida Board of Medicine. The program supports J1 VISA applicants but does not sponsor H-1 or other types of visas 6.
